Welcome
Background Information & Rideshare Web Site

The Ada County Highway District’s Commuteride office works to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality by promoting alternatives to driving alone. Commuteride has served the Treasure Valley since 1975 and operating a vanpooll program since 1976 in addition to offering rideshare services to both commuters and employers. We promote transit, vanpooling, carpooling, bicycling and walking.

Commuter Services
Commuteride provides ridematching services that can put you in touch with other commuters based on home and work locations and work schedules. You can check out our list of Park & Ride lots, convenient locations where you can meet your new rideshare partner. We also offer a variety of commute incentives that can help you further reduce the cost of your commute. Our Commute Calculator can help you find out how much it’s actually costing you to commute to work. If you ride the bus, Commuteride sells several different Valley Regional Transit bus passes (please call beforehand to determine which passes we have available). We are located on the corner of Fairview and Curtis, served by Valley Ride’s #7 Fairview bus.

Employer Services
Treasure Valley Employers have a great resource in Commuteride. Our Marketing and Outreach staff is available to provide free assistance to help you with your transportation challenges. We will work collaboratively with you to develop an alternative commute plan customized specifically for your business and employees. Our goal is to help you reduce employer and employee costs associated with commuting while improving the quality of life in the Treasure Valley. We have many tools and resources available for you.
